Don’t be surprised if you also find restaurant reviews from my favorite places to eat in Austin, my favorite weekend getaways, tried and true recipes, off-market property tours, and insider tips on everything Austin including upcoming events throughout central Texas. I want this space to be a full expression of my world as a luxury real estate agent, mama, wife and enthusiast of my home city.
A little about me for those of y’all that are new here… I’ve always been anything but traditional. I graduated college when I was 20 and immediately threw myself into the business marketing world, recruiting for Fortune 100 companies and working 13+ hour days while wearing suits, heels and pantyhose. Although successful, I was absolutely miserable and those of you that know me, know you’re more likely to find me barefoot than in heels.
I left that job confused and frustrated. I made a fatal error in college. I wasn’t following my dreams. I did what I thought I was supposed to do, but one year after graduating I vowed to forever let my purpose guide me, be courageously authentic and lead with my heart. Initially that led me into the world of education. I taught History, Geography and Ancient Civilizations for over 15 years. Being an educator was one of my greatest joys in life. I LIVE to serve others and having the opportunity to be an integral part in the formative years of thousands of students over the years taught me so much and gave me an incredible amount of purpose.
When I left the classroom and became a licensed realtor, I had no idea what I was getting into but I knew that I loved helping people and would have the opportunity to guide clients powerfully through one of the biggest financial transactions of their lives with a level of integrity that everyone deserves. I could educate clients on the things that I wished I had known when I purchased my first home. I could provide a level of service that they didn’t realize was possible AND I could make it all fun. An experience to remember. After all, we are talking about the buying and selling of houses in MY city. The city that I grew up in and couldn’t wait to get back to after I graduated college. A city that became one of my first (and greatest) loves.
Whether we are working together to buy or sell your next home, redesign your kitchen or your backyard, create pantry organizational systems that make sense, or find a vacation rental on the other side of the globe- I am here emphatically for you, as a resource. If you have any questions, or topics you'd like me to cover, or if you're ready to take the next steps in your real estate journey, feel free to reach out to me at chalimar.chieza@sothebysrealty.com or 817-946-8626.
As an aside, my blood type is oatmilk chai latte and my love language is fried chicken and peach cobbler (a la mode- duh), so if it is close to my birthday or Christmas or just like a gloomy Monday… you know what to do!
